The industrial supply chain for new energy automobiles in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) -- in Guiyang city in China's Southwest Guizhou province -- has advanced in leaps and bounds, with electric vehicle powertrain systems the focus and it has also become an important power battery production center in western China, according to Guiyang HIDZ officials.
Its aerospace mechanical and electrical industry supply chain -- with aeroengines and precision micro-special motors as the driver -- has significantly improved.
This has made the Guiyang HIDZ a core research and development production center for small and medium-thrust aeroengines in the country, as well as a key research and development and production base for medium and high-end precision micro-special motors in the country.
Development strategy:
1. Focus on new energy automotive parts manufacturing. Focus on promoting R&D and manufacturing pure electric passenger cars and dedicated smart network vehicles, driving the production of automotive parts and components for auto exteriors, interiors, chassis, rubber pipelines, optical and electronic accessories and automotive electronic products.
2. Focus on the development of power batteries and automotive power assembly manufacturing. Accelerate research and development of lithium-ion battery storage technology and materials and promote the technical advancement and industrialization of key materials, modules and systems for energy storage. Increase the introduction and cultivation of power battery cores, PACK and upstream positive and negative materials, electrolytes, diaphragm materials supporting projects and research and development of BMS (battery management systems). Promote research, development and industrial production of power assemblies of three core components: batteries, motors and electronic controls.
3. Promote development of small and medium-thrust aeroengines and precision micro-motor manufacturing. In accordance with the aeroengine "small core with big collaboration" manufacturing system, components -- such as electronic equipment, precision sensors, structure parts, fasteners, etc. -- are driven by the core parts of small and medium thrust aeroengine, such as casings and blades. Actively promote research, development and industrialization of civil high-end precision micro-motors.
4. Promote the development of basic support equipment and other advanced equipment manufacturing. Support construction of the Guiyang metal surface treatment and thermal processing regional service center (north), Guiyang metal mold processing regional service center; support development of precision, complex hot stamping, composite materials and other mold designs and manufacturing, and the development of industrial products and equipment testing and inspection industries; track R & D and manufacturing of transportation equipment and forging.
