Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was shortlisted as one of China's top 100 advanced manufacturing parks, according to a list published at the 8th Advanced Manufacturing Conference.
The list is based on analyzing five important indicators at 218 national economic and technological development zones and 168 national high-tech industrial development zones. The ranking also took into account the comprehensive development level of the advanced manufacturing industry in these zones.
Since the beginning of this year, Guiyang HIDZ has developed and integrated its real economy with big data technology, focusing on medium- and high-end manufacturing and medium- and high-end consumption. It has introduced several leading medium- and high-end manufacturing enterprises.
Guiyang HIDZ is the first national-level high-tech zone and the only special talent zone in Guizhou province. It is also a big data industry development cluster and one of the province's "1+8" open innovation platforms.
Since its establishment, the zone has been approved for more than 30 national demonstration pilot projects.
