Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) ranked first among the districts (cities, counties, development zones) in Guiyang in the evaluation of investment objectives completion in 2020, according to an announcement from the zone on Feb 18.
Guiyang HIDZ is located in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. The assessment was conducted by the city's investment promotion leading group office.
In the past year, Guiyang HIDZ saw a total of 17.97 billion yuan ($2.78 billion) of funds in place for newly introduced industrial projects. The zone also introduced 78 new industrial projects, 50 excellent companies and 20 high-tech enterprises.
Officials from the zone visited Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places to promote investment. Guiyang HIDZ also promoted the signing and settlement of significant projects.
In the future, the zone will focus on big data, electronic information, advanced equipment manufacturing and attracting investment to promote the city's high-quality economic and social development.
