Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) signed seven cooperation agreements with companies from East China's Jiangsu province on May 14. The zone is located in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The projects, valued at 1.97 billion yuan ($306.73 million), cover areas such as big data electronic information, advanced equipment manufacturing and research and development, among others.
The project deals were signed during an investment promotion event held in Guiyang, which was attended by company representatives from Jiangsu province.
During the event, Guiyang HIDZ sent more than 60 representatives to discuss cooperation with 42 Jiangsu-based companies and distributed more than 100 pieces of publicity material. Representatives from six Jiangsu companies were invited to visit Guiyang HIDZ and hold talks.
As a national-level high-tech zone, Guiyang HIDZ has focused on the introduction of new technologies, new industries and new business projects in fields such as mid-to-high-end consumer goods manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing, new energy and digital industries.
In 2020, the zone introduced 78 industrial projects, and 17.97 billion yuan of funds for newly introduced projects were in place.
