Eight enterprises from the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, or Guiyang HIDZ – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently made them onto the 2021 list of projects to obtain science and technology development funds from the central government.
The list was announced by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and consisted of 41 enterprises.
The number of enterprises from Guiyang HIDZ accounted for 19.5 percent of those in Guizhou province and 36.4 percent of those in Guiyang, making it the zone with the most enterprises on the list and obtaining a total of 7.80 million yuan ($1.17 million) in funds.
The fund-winning enterprises from Guiyang HIDZ include Guizhou Lianjian Civil Engineering Quality Inspection and Monitoring Center Co, Guiyang STON Information Technology Co, Guizhou Zhenhua Fengguang Semiconductor Co, and Guizhou Changtong Electric Co.
The science and technology fund is a common fiscal power transfer payment fund used by the central government to support and guide local governments in the implementation of the national innovation-driven development strategy, and science and technology reform and development policies.
It aims to optimize the regional science and technology innovation environment and enhance regional scientific and technological innovation capabilities.
