Some 20 enterprises from the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone or Guiyang HIDZ -- located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- have applied to be included in the zone's 2021 pilot intellectual property enterprise cultivation project.
The project aims to help boost a business' position in the creation, application and commercialization of intellectual property rights and continue to optimize the business environment and high-quality development of the Guiyang HIDZ.
The initiative was reportedly initiated in October this year. To boost the IP ecosystem, the Guiyang HIDZ drafted the "Intellectual Property Protection Plan for the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone".
In addition, it issued the "Notice of Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone on Carrying out the 2021 Intellectual Property Pilot Enterprise Cultivation Work" and the "Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone Intellectual Property Pilot Enterprise Assessment and Scoring Standards."
The zone organized leading intellectual property groups and IP experts to conduct a detailed review of the enterprises that declared for cultivation project.
The assessment will include their intellectual property creations, use, management and protection.
It is understood that the top 10 enterprises with high review scores will be selected as this year's intellectual property pilot enterprise cultivation objects.
