A talent cultivation center being jointly established by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, or Guiyang HIDZ, held an unveiling ceremony on Oct 26 for its nameplate.
The base is to be built in the Guiyang HIDZ -- located in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
It will reportedly serve as a talent resources matchmaking platform and be responsible for full-time graduate talent training in big data related university majors.
The initiative follows the signing of a Tripartite Agreement on Big Data Talent Training Framework by the Guiyang municipal government, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Guiyang HIDZ.
Plans are for the facility to enroll 15 graduate students in 2022.
