The Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, or Guiyang HIDZ – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – is understood to have achieved great results from its business promotions launched in the first quarter.
This is said to have established a solid foundation for the remainder of the year.
Statistics from the Guiyang HIDZ indicated that from January to March, newly introduced industrial projects in the zone completed a total of 4.71 billion yuan ($706.68 million) of funds in place.
That exceeded by 142.79 percent the target set by Guiyang city for the zone in the first quarter.
Funds in place for industrial projects completed a total of 3.4 billion yuan, achieving 169.8 percent of the Q1 target.
The Guiyang HIDZ also introduced 11 enterprises with strong business track records in the first three months of the year.
The new corporate residents included China Telecom Wanwei Information Technology Co and China Telecom Shuzhi Technology Co.
