Electricity-powered heavy-duty trucks have promising application potential and are gaining a larger market share.
Guizhou Jiuxing Energy Technology Co in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has made strong progress in boosting the development of such heavy-duty trucks.
The heavy-duty trucks developed by the Guizhou company can replace a 1-metric-ton fully-charged battery with the help of a robot at a battery replacement station within six minutes.
The entire battery replacement process is more convenient than refueling and hardly affects the driver's operating time.
The Guizhou company is currently the only one in China to achieve mass production of electric-driven heavy-duty truck battery replacement stations.
"The company has a 95-percent domestic market share in the field of heavy truck battery replacement," said Liu Jinxin, general manager of Guizhou Jiuxing Energy Technology Co.
Jiu also revealed that his company has announced more than 190 heavy-duty truck models and delivered more than 20,000 sets of power battery boxes suitable for tractors, mixer trucks, dump trucks and wide-body mining trucks, with a safe operating distance of more than 100 million kilometers.
Meanwhile, 128 battery replacement stations have been built by the company in more than 40 cities in 23 provinces and municipalities throughout the country, including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Henan and Shanxi.
Elsewhere, the Guizhou company has cooperated with the Huawei Cloud to build an intelligent cloud platform monitoring system, which provides important services such as real-time monitoring of battery replacement stations, battery boxes and vehicles, and warns about risks.
