The Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is home to around 65,000 talents.
This was a claim by Zhang Jianjun, director of the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone administrative committee, at the Guiyang and Gui'an Science and Technology Innovation Conference held on July 5.
In recent years, Guiyang HIDZ has been focusing on the four major projects of talent introduction, cultivation and retention, and has efficiently allocated innovative elements.
In so doing, the Tsinghua-Guizhou Big Data Postgraduate Practice Education Base and the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Research, Production and Teaching Integration Base have been successively built.
So far, 141 full-time experts from Tsinghua University have been trained in Guizhou, and tutors at Tsinghua University have been encouraged to solve more than 30 key technical problems for nearly 40 big data companies in the province.
In addition, the Guiyang HIDZ has invited colleges and universities to visit enterprises in its jurisdiction to seek job opportunities and has signed cooperation agreements with Guizhou University for Nationalities, the Guizhou Institute of Technology and other colleges and universities.
