By 2025, the number of high-tech enterprises in the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will exceed 1,000, according to Zhang Jianjun, director of the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone administrative committee, at the Guiyang and Gui'an Science and Technology Innovation Conference held on July 5.
In recent years, the Guiyang HIDZ has been working to develop its electronic information manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing and new energy automobile industries and advance the development of intelligent manufacturing, the software industry and the technology service industry.
The Guiyang HIDZ is currently home to 341 high-tech enterprises, accounting for 18.3 percent of the total high-tech enterprises in Guizhou province and 27.63 percent of the total in Guiyang.
The R&D investment intensity of large-scale industrial enterprises in the Guiyang HIDZ is expected to reach 5.2 percent this year.
Additionally, the added value of high-tech enterprises in the Guiyang HIDZ accounts for 58 percent of the added value of industries above a designated size, those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan or more. The total output value of strategic emerging industries in the zone accounts for 85 percent of the total output value of industries above a designated size.
The Guiyang HIDZ is also home to 41 high-tech enterprises above a designated size, accounting for 60 percent of the total number of enterprises above a designated size in Guiyang.
