Guizhou PIX Moving Technology Co, or PIX Moving – a company that manufactures driverless vehicles that bring products and services to customers in their homes or places of work – recently received an exclusive strategic investment from Japan's TIS Co and successfully completed its A1 round of financing.
Under the contract, the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in smart city construction, large-scale commercial application of autonomous driving, and market expansion in Japan and Southeast Asia.
PIX Moving is a resident enterprise of the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province. It was established in 2014.
Yu Chuan, founder of PIX Moving, said "We use autonomous driving technology to explore ways to reshape the future urban space."
By redefining the design, manufacturing and interaction methods of vehicles, his company designed an autonomous driving chassis so that users can modularize and customize vehicles according to their different needs, Yu added.

Over an eight-year period, the company has developed cutting-edge technologies for use in driverless chassis and has to date supplied around 200 customers in 17 countries.
In February this year, PIX Moving and Shanghai autonomous driving company Space Technology cooperated strategically to jointly put PIX Moving's self-developed product, the Robobus, into operation in Lingang, Shanghai.
The unmanned minibus is the first mass-produced vehicle produced by PIX Moving for carrying people.
The whole vehicle has no traditional components such as a cockpit, steering wheel, pedals, rear or side-view mirrors. The vehicle is symmetrically designed, with no distinction between the front and rear, and is capable of bidirectional movement.
Yu also said that technological innovation has given his company customized and large-scale production capacity from intelligent chassis to multi-functional cabins. The company has obtained more than 40 national patents and is applying for over 10 global patents.
