Guizhou Runke Information Technology Co recently won a bid to build a monitoring and protection system for the Weining Caohai Wetland in Southwest China's Guizhou province, with the winning bid amounting to 12.04 million yuan ($1.81 million).
The company is a resident enterprise of the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Guizhou's capital city Guiyang.
It is a national high-tech enterprise focusing on the natural environment. It is rooted in environmental industry and carries out software development, instrument research and development, system integration, big data analysis and operation and maintenance services.
The construction content of the winning project includes an environmental database system, an environmental capacity evaluation system, an environmental monitoring and early warning system, and a water level change early warning system.
Others will include a forest fire risk monitoring and early warning system, a key species and habitat monitoring and early warning system, and an early warning system for foci of overwintering birds in the Caohai Sea.
By building the project, Guizhou Caohai Wetland will be able to restore the wetland ecosystem, reduce pollution around the Caohai Lake, and expand bird habitats.
