Guiyang Big Data Exchange in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has achieved rapid development in recent years.
In 2015, the Guiyang Big Data Exchange was listed and began operating in Guiyang HIDZ, becoming the first big data exchange in the country.
Since then, it has been exploring organizational structure, data products, transaction methods and profit models in order to accumulate experience in the data element market.
In April this year, the Guiyang Big Data Exchange launched the country's first official data zone, called the "Meteorological Zone", providing a platform for the orderly circulation and trading of high-value meteorological data in China.
So far, there have been transactions worth more than 5 million yuan on the exchange.
In August, the Guiyang Big Data Exchange launched the "Electric Power Zone". The product system includes a total of 28 products in four categories.
To date, the exchange has had 371 data providers, with 493 products being listed. The data products listed on the platform cover public resources, weather and climate, geospatial, financial services, government affairs, people's livelihood, road transportation and other fields.
The public data products include human and social data products, real estate data products, public resource data products, tax data products, industrial and commercial information data products and power data products.
Enterprise data products include meteorological data products, national logistics data products, as well as bidding and tendering data products.
