Southwest China's Guizhou province launched its first list of 219 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises in 2023.
A total of 33 enterprises on the list are from the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) of Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou.
The number of Guiyang HIDZ-based enterprises making the list accounts for 15.1 percent of the total in Guizhou, and 27.7 percent of that from Guiyang.
Technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises refer to enterprises that rely on a certain number of scientific and technological personnel to engage in scientific and technological research and development activities. They have obtained independent intellectual property rights and have commercialized them into high-tech products or services, so as to achieve sustainable development.
In 2022, Guiyang HIDZ organized evaluation services for small and medium-sized technology-based enterprises to help them understand and make good use of preferential policies, and to stimulate the innovation vitality of enterprises.
Meanwhile, Guiyang HIDZ helped enterprises solve their loan problems, so that the development of technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises will no longer have to worry about the future.
Moving forward, Guiyang HIDZ's science and technology innovation bureau will continue to improve services, and guide enterprises to increase investment in research and development. It will strengthen the construction of intellectual property systems, enhance independent innovation capabilities, and continue to cultivate and expand technology-based enterprises.
