Shijitong Technology Co (Shijitong), an enterprise in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has successfully rung the bell for its IPO on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange's Growth Enterprise Board.
From its trajectory as a start-up to a listed company and a leading enterprise in the digital economy and big data industries in Guizhou, innovation is the secret behind the firm's success.
Shijitong is a professional information technology service provider that mainly provides value-added and expansion services to enterprise customers through its independently developed technology platforms and service networks.
It was registered and established in Guiyang HIDZ in 2006.
"The policy and services in Guizhou are really good. The various levels of government departments are very concerned about the development of my company." said Yang Xingrong, director and general manager of Shijitong.
From finding office space to Shijitong's development as a company, the authorities have provided us with continuous help and guidance, Yang added.
When the company was first set up, it cooperated with Guizhou Telecom and Guizhou Mobile to provide value-added services such as online reading and telephone ringtones for their mobile phone users, quickly helping operators to lock in a large number of user groups.
However, as smartphones became increasingly intelligent, the user base was constantly changing, and Shijitong actively responded to this.
By focusing on customer needs, Shijitong developed and created the "He Map" mobile app. After users downloaded it, they would receive a car wash coupon online for use as a nearby facility.
"At that time, there was no such model in the province. Once launched, it was welcomed by users," Yang said. "Many car owners received monthly coupons, and car wash shops also got a boost, resulting in a win-win situation for the market economy."
The company soon realized there was a scarcity of after-sales services for cars and quickly carried out a national market plan, ushering in a phase of comprehensive development.
Since then, Shijitong has used the "Ping An Good Car Owner" app as a platform to independently develop a series of owner information services such as designated driving, car washing, and annual vehicle inspection.
Zhang Feng, supervisor of Shijitong, said the company successfully replicated the model of serving operator customers in the financial industry and gradually expanded this to the fields of high-speed rail, aviation, retail chains, e-commerce and industries.
At present, the company has established 35 subsidiaries in 31 provinces and municipalities nationwide, integrating more than 43,000 offline operating merchants.
Through the integration of online and offline resources, Shijitong has not only developed owner information services but also created life information and business process services.
The big data technology automobile consumption sector and intelligent application platform built by Shijitong have not only been evaluated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as 2020 big data industry development pilot demonstration projects, but have also been rated as an excellent product and application solution by the Guizhou Administration for Big Data.
Over the years, Shijitong has marched all the way to its IPO, benefiting from the company's emphasis on technological research and development.
It has obtained 27 patents and 211 computer software copyright registration certificates. The company's technology center has also been identified as a "National Enterprise Technology Center."
Moving forward, Shijitong will continue to focus on technological research and development, comprehensively expand its market network, and achieve a double leap in market performance and brand value.
