A symposium jointly organized by the Guangdong Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, the Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce of Guizhou Province and the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) was held on Oct 13.
At the symposium, Luo Yang, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Guiyang HIDZ, welcomed the Guangdong delegation and expressed his hope of seeing Guangdong merchants, given their strong resource advantages, help enterprises in the zone set up export platforms and showcase their locally produced, high-tech products to the world.

He also called on Guangdong merchants to expand the scope of their operations in the zone, with a focus on investing and establishing headquarters, driving the development of the real economy, and harnessing the zone's production of superior products.
Luo proposed exploring cooperative ventures in such fields as electronics information manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing and new energy, as well as trade services, cross-border e-commerce, and regional headquarters.
