In 2023, a total of 142 enterprises in the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Southwest China's Guizhou province have been successfully approved as high-tech companies.
Since last year, Guiyang HIDZ has introduced a series of implementation plans, assessment regulations, and policies to accelerate the cultivation of high-tech enterprises.
These measures aim to enhance the mechanism for nurturing high-tech companies, starting from key aspects such as application intention, periodic review, intellectual property, research and development investment, and financial data. They also encourage various departments within the zone to excel in attracting, cultivating, and serving high-tech enterprises.
To improve the success rate of applications, the Guiyang HIDZ has actively provided guidance and support to relevant enterprises.
Through strengthened training in areas such as the proportion of research and development (R&D) personnel, R&D investment, intellectual property, product (service) revenue, and the ability to transform scientific achievements, the zone has effectively addressed weaknesses and assisted companies in their application process.
Simultaneously, the Guiyang HIDZ has further strengthened the regulation of its science and technology service institutions. Multiple discussions have been held regarding the annual review and special audit fees for small and medium-sized enterprises, aiming to standardize the intermediary service market.
