The Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Southwest China's Guizhou province held a ceremony on April 28 to mark the concentrated commencement and operation of 22 aviation engine projects with a total investment of 5.2 billion yuan ($712.33 million).
Among these projects, 14 new projects worth 4.6 billion yuan have already begun construction, while another eight projects with a combined investment of 600 million yuan have been put into operation.
Since launching the development of the aviation engine industry circle in 2021, Guiyang HIDZ has signed agreements with 21 strategic enterprises, creating over 2,000 new jobs and attracting nearly 800 million yuan in investment.

Last year, the industrial circle's output value surpassed 10 billion yuan.
By 2027, Guiyang HIDZ aims to strengthen and optimize the industrial circle's supporting enterprises, achieve at least 50 joint technological breakthroughs, recruit at least 50 high-end talents, including PhD holders, and establish a comprehensive social collaborative system for the aviation engine industry.
