The inauguration ceremony of the Guizhou Technology Trading Market was recently held at Guizhou Science City in the Guiyang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ).
With the launch of this market, enterprises can now freely showcase their achievements, engage in technology transactions, conduct financing roadshows, and participate in business incubation, which makes technology transactions as convenient as online shopping.
This development is of significant importance for further promoting the construction of Guizhou Science City, strengthening the technological innovation platform, and advancing the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
Guizhou Science City, also known as the Guizhou Science and Technology Innovation Park of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has been operational since 2015.
It focuses on the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, while also attracting talent, and fostering entrepreneurship.
In 2023, it was approved as a national-level technology business incubator.
Currently, it employs over 1,660 researchers and related personnel, including two academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, four experts who are receiving special allowances from the State Council, three academic leaders of national key laboratories, one foreign expert, 118 PhD holders, and 221 master's degree holders.
By the end of 2023, Guizhou Science City had achieved a total of 3,348 scientific and technological outcomes, generating approximately 1.71 billion yuan ($234.25 million) in output value and 308 million yuan in taxes.
Over 100 technological achievements were transformed, driving related enterprises to achieve an output value of 22.6 billion yuan.
