An aviation science event, part of the 2024 Summer Series of Technology Innovation and Achievement Exchange activities of Guiyang National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Southwest China's Guizhou province, concluded on July 9.
Over the course of two days, the event welcomed more than 300 participants, including elementary school teachers, students, kindergarteners, and their parents, offering an immersive experience in aviation science.
As the first national-level high-tech zone in the province, Guiyang HIDZ has steadfastly pursued technological innovation.
In the aviation sector, the zone has become a hub for key enterprises contributing to the development of the C919, a China-produced large passenger aircraft. These include Guizhou Aerospace Linquan Motor Co, which provides critical technology for the CJ1000 engine control system; Guizhou Aerospace Technology Development Co, a core developer of ring forgings for the CJ1000 and CJ2000 engines; and Guizhou Hangya Technology Co, which manufactures compressor blades for the C919 engines.
Additionally, the zone has established three major industrial systems focused on aviation engines, micro-special motors, and electronic components. It has attracted leading enterprises such as AECC Liyang Aero-Engine Corporation, Linquan Motor, and China Zhenhua Electronics Group, along with a host of key supporting companies like Guiyang Changzhilin Engine Parts Manufacturing Co.
In the burgeoning low-altitude economy sector, the zone has gathered several representative enterprises involved in such fields as aerial photography drones, civil sightseeing aircraft, military drones, and industrial drones.
