In a significant achievement, Guizhou Communications Construction Group, an enterprise based in the Guiyang National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently led a consortium to win the bid for the concession project of a section of the G326 Expressway.
The estimated total investment for the project is a staggering 7.61 billion yuan ($1.04 billion).
The highway project connects Jiuyi in Dafang county to Yachi town in Qixingguan district, both of which are located in the city of Bijie. It spans a total length of 52.56 kilometers.
The project is a very important one for Guizhou province. It will accelerate the construction of a strong transportation network, reinforce its position as a critical land transportation hub in Southwest China, enhance the services of national expressway main corridors, and improve the overall highway network in the province. It will also significantly boost the integrated development of Bijie's central urban area.
The G326 Expressway project marks Guizhou Communications Construction Group's first successful bid for a concession project since the implementation of new public-private partnership mechanisms. This milestone not only underscores the company's growing capabilities but also offers it invaluable experience for potential future projects.
