During the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2024, Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang successfully attracted investments totaling 1.5 billion yuan ($205.48 million) through a series of exchange activities, high-level forums, press conferences and exhibitions.
The investments span a variety of sectors within the electronic information industry, including communications component manufacturing, drone research and development, intelligent car wash equipment manufacturing, and smart power integration system development.
Meanwhile, the digital economy sector saw investments in pharmaceutical MES development, basic data processing, information innovation software and cybersecurity, and AI operating system development.
The production service industry also benefited from the establishment of a high-quality development equity investment fund.
At the expo's investment promotion vertical model release conference, 15 major enterprises from Guiyang HIDZ made preliminary investment agreements with companies such as AsiaInfo Security Technology Co and Beijing International Big Data Exchange.
Moreover, during more than 10 forum activities, including the Inspur Cloud Data Intelligence Future Conference and the Huawei 828 B2B Enterprise Festival Opening Ceremony, Guiyang HIDZ promoted investment opportunities. Over 100 key figures from enterprises, institutions, and business associations, including Wuhan Dameng Database Co, were engaged in discussions.
In addition, by assisting the Guiyang Big Data Exchange and Tsinghua University in hosting events such as the Data Trading Ecosystem Conference, Guiyang HIDZ was able to promote itself directly to industry experts and government and enterprise representatives. These efforts have significantly expanded the zone's investment promotion channels.
