The 10th Guizhou Provincial Patent Awards were recently announced, with seven enterprises from Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) standing out for their innovative achievements. The zone secured one Silver Award for Invention Patent and six Excellence Awards, underscoring its strong innovation capabilities and industry leadership.
The awarded patents span key strategic emerging industries, including high-end equipment, biomedicine, new energy, and big data. The breakthroughs highlight local enterprises' strength in core technologies and contribute significantly to Guizhou's high-quality economic development.
In recent years, Guiyang HIDZ has focused on its core industries – two pillar sectors and one specialty, along with software and service sectors – while strengthening intellectual property creation, protection, and utilization. This has helped transform lab innovations into industrial applications, creating both patent value and economic impact.
To date, the zone has received a total of 34 Guizhou Provincial Patent Awards.
