Guizhou Zhongnan Transport Technology, a company based in Guiyang National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Southwest China's Guizhou province, won a major bid worth 163 million yuan ($22.96 million) for a transport infrastructure digital transformation and upgrade project in Central China's Henan province.
The contract marks a significant breakthrough for the company in expanding its digital transformation business beyond Guizhou and reflects Guiyang HIDZ's growing influence as a powerhouse for big data innovation and technological exports.
The project will implement digital upgrades across key sections of the Beijing–Hong Kong–Macao Expressway and other routes.
These upgrades include coordinated entrance and exit control, dynamic lane management, emergency lane usage, infrastructure monitoring and early warning systems, road network operations tracking, and vehicle-road-cloud collaboration applications.
Once completed, the project will develop a model of a "smart expressway," significantly enhancing operational efficiency and traffic safety.
