Guizhou Science City in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone is accelerating the creation of an ecosystem aimed at attracting, cultivating, utilizing, and retaining talent.
This year, it brought in 179 high-level professionals, along with 27 innovation and entrepreneurship teams from top universities, including Tsinghua University and Wuhan University.
To date, the hub has gathered 2,471 high-level talents, including 14 academicians and 26 national-level experts, strengthening its position as a major center for top-tier talent.
One of this year's highlights is the arrival of Doctor Wu Chong's team, attracted through Guizhou Science City's deep cooperation with the Wuhan University Guizhou Alumni Association.
The team's startup, built on independently developed intelligent unmanned robot technology, has secured more than 70 million yuan ($10 million) in orders and 13 million yuan in angel-round financing – demonstrating a virtuous cycle of "bringing in one talent, forming one team, and scaling up one industry".
