A startup founder in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ), Southwest China's Guizhou province, received a business license in just 18 minutes after submitting application materials, thanks to a dedicated service program for one-person companies (OPCs).
The initiative, introduced by Guiyang HIDZ, offers customized support and simplified approval processes for individual entrepreneurs and small innovation teams, enabling them to register their businesses more efficiently.
As OPC gains popularity, more freelance designers, technology developers, and small research teams are launching businesses independently. However, many first-time entrepreneurs face challenges such as limited staff, unfamiliarity with registration procedures, and repeated revisions of application documents.
To address these issues, Guiyang HIDZ has established a dedicated OPC service window staffed by professionals who provide one-on-one guidance throughout the registration process, including company name applications, document preparation, and business scope selection.
The service team reviews materials in advance and helps resolve issues promptly, reducing unnecessary waiting and repeated visits. Optimized procedures and proactive services have now significantly improved efficiency.
The service is part of the zone's efforts to reform government services and lower barriers for individual and micro-business startups. Guiyang HIDZ plans to further expand support in areas such as intellectual property, computing resources, entrepreneurship subsidies, and business matchmaking to foster a more supportive startup ecosystem.
