Guizhou is nurturing a new breed of AI entrepreneurs through one-person companies (OPCs), backed by abundant computing power, data resources and government support.
The Guizhou Science City OPC Community, a 500-square-meter shared workspace, has begun offering entrepreneurs computing resources, AI tools, business matchmaking and startup support. The community plans to attract at least 50 entrepreneurs this year and expand its facilities.
The initiative builds on Guizhou's growing digital economy. As China's first national big data comprehensive pilot zone and one of its eight national computing hubs, Guizhou province's digital and intelligent industries reached 299.47 billion yuan ($44.42 billion) in 2025. Its AI-related industries, including data labeling, have gathered 121 companies and more than 12,000 practitioners.
Policy support is also lowering barriers to AI entrepreneurship. Eligible OPC projects in Guizhou can receive one-time incentives of up to 500,000 yuan, while companies can receive support covering part of their computing costs.
The community's AI platform integrates more than 180 AI models and over 120 application programming interfaces, enabling users to generate text, images, videos and e-commerce content from a single platform.
Early entrants are already seeing results. Entrepreneur Xu Jun, who launched an AI consulting company at the community in July, secured more than 80,000 yuan in orders in his first month.
With computing power, data, and business resources converging, Guizhou is turning its data advantages into new opportunities for AI-powered entrepreneurship.
