Eighteen growth-stage companies specializing in next-generation information technology competed in the Guizhou regional semifinals of the 15th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition on Aug 26 in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The event, held at the Guizhou Science City, featured two semifinal rounds focused on emerging technologies, including chip design, smart devices, data security, big data services, geographic information, smart supply chains, and digital twins.
Nine companies took part in each round, with each given eight minutes to present their technologies and business plans to a five-member judging panel of experts in venture capital, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, followed by seven minutes of questions from the judges.
After more than 10 hours, Guizhou Xingqian Information Technology Co, Guizhou Shuzhi Qingtong Technology Co, and Guizhou Qianxin Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering and Technology Research Co ranked among the top three in the third match. Guizhou Suanjia Computing Services Co, Guiyang Zhongke Fuchuang Technology Co, and Guizhou Tuzhi Information Technology Co took the top three spots in the fourth match.
The winners will advance to the Guizhou regional finals, where they will compete alongside contestants from other venues.
